Konstantin Kalnyi is the Founder and CEO of Kiev Shipping Ltd, an independent Ukrainian ship chartering and maritime brokerage company based in Kyiv, Ukraine. He entered the shipping industry in 1998 after working in the gas sector and has since built more than 25 years of practical experience in ship chartering and maritime brokerage.

His experience covers more than 350 voyages and fixtures involving different cargoes, vessel sizes and trading areas — dry bulk, breakbulk and general cargoes, grain and agricultural cargoes, fertilizers, cement, clinker and industrial raw materials, steel products and construction materials, oversized and project cargoes, and tanker brokerage for CPP, DPP and chemical cargoes.

His day-to-day work covers vessel employment and cargo search, charter party negotiations, voyage coordination, laytime and demurrage matters and maritime consulting — the practical detail on which every successful fixture depends.
