Our role in breakbulk cargo chartering

Kiev Shipping Ltd arranges breakbulk cargo chartering and sea freight brokerage for general, project and oversized cargoes worldwide.

For a freight indication, please send cargo name, quantity, dimensions, weight, packing, loading port, discharging port and laycan.

Typical breakbulk cargoes

Kiev Shipping Ltd arranges breakbulk cargo chartering for a wide range of non-containerized cargoes, including industrial equipment, steel products, machinery, bagged cargoes, heavy units and oversized cargoes that require individual vessel selection and stowage planning.

Break bulk chartering suits cargoes that are too large, too heavy or too irregular for containers and are loaded and stowed piece by piece.

  • industrial equipment;
  • steel products and metal structures;
  • machinery and spare parts;
  • buses, electric buses and wheeled machinery;
  • oversized and heavy cargoes;
  • project cargoes — see project cargo chartering;
  • cargoes in bags and big bags;
  • non-containerized cargoes.

Grain, fertilizers, coal, salt and other commodities shipped loose in the hold are covered by our dry bulk chartering services.

How we work

Kiev Shipping Ltd does not own vessels. We work as experienced shipbrokers and charter suitable tonnage through the international freight market.

Our work may include vessel search, freight indications, fixture negotiations, charter party support, coordination with involved parties and voyage follow-up from loading to discharge.

GENCON

For many general and breakbulk cargo fixtures, the GENCON 1994 voyage charter party may be used as a contractual basis, depending on the cargo, vessel, route and agreement between the parties.
