Alexander Varvarenko, Varamar Shipping DMCC: The Name Has Changed, but the Varvarenko Theatre Continues

Varamar Shipping DMCC now operates under the name VARAMAR SHIPPING FZCO.

According to the documents submitted in the Ukrainian court proceedings, the change took effect on 1 June 2026. The company retained the same registration number — JLT5601 — and confirmed that it remains the same legal entity with unchanged corporate details.

In practical terms, this appears to be an administrative replacement of the corporate suffix “DMCC” with “FZCO”, rather than the creation of a new company.

The name has changed.

The outstanding commercial conflict has not.

The second development is equally revealing.

After the Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv closed the USD 100,000 civil proceedings on jurisdictional grounds, Alexander Varvarenko personally filed an appeal through his representative.

It should be stated accurately: VARAMAR SHIPPING FZCO did not file a separate appeal in its own name. The sole appellant is Alexander Varvarenko.

Nevertheless, the appeal continues to defend the broader corporate position of Varamar and attempts to present a commercial dispute arising from a maritime transaction, an invoice and an unpaid brokerage commission as a private conflict between individuals.

The appeal also claims that court hearings on 13 and 14 July 2026 did not take place.

I categorically dispute that version.

I personally attended the hearing on 13 July, gave explanations and answered the court’s questions. On 14 July, the plaintiffs’ representative was physically present in the courtroom and sat directly opposite me.

These circumstances can and should be checked against the official court records and technical recordings.

So the public performance continues:

• the company changes its suffix;
• the sole individual appellant acts in defence of the corporate position;
• a commercial payment dispute is repeatedly presented as a private reputational conflict;
• factual events witnessed inside the courtroom are now described in an entirely different way.

The Varvarenko Theatre has therefore entered a new act.

But changing the name from VARAMAR SHIPPING DMCC to VARAMAR SHIPPING FZCO does not change the underlying facts.

The central commercial issue remains unresolved: the brokerage commission earned in connection with the maritime operation has still not been paid.
